2017 MSP Fun Fest with Dunbar Kids

Starting in 2014- Men Standing Positive began working alongside Principal Coleman and the students at Dunbar Elementary. MSP Fun Fest is not just your average free event with live music, food and a bounce house. It’s an event designed to reach the students with a positive message through music. So not only do they have a great time but they leave having learned why they need to remain in school, why they need to respect authority and so much more. The students also hear that they are the agents of change to reach their local community and it all starts now- even while they are in elementary school.

MSP Street Report – June 3rd, 2017

Saturday marked the kick off date for Men Standing Positive’s 2017 outreach and event season.  Before those gathered had even left the building, a young man walked in.  At first everyone thought he came to volunteer, turns out he had just moved back to St. Louis and was walking down N. Grand looking for a job.  He said something told him to come inside the church- so he did.  The man came directly down the aisle, rededicated his life to God and spent the afternoon with MSP on outreach.

Soon after, everyone split up into small teams and headed out into the neighborhood. Between going door to door and flagging down cars to hand out flyers for the MSP Total Transformation Conference: 1 person received Jesus and 7 MSP Hot Sheets were filled out for those looking for a church home and others needing assistance. RSVP below to our next outreach and event dates.

‘Til next time… See You on the Streets!

Dear Friend,

Men Standing Positive wants to connect with churches, such as yourself, who desire to impact the streets and make a lasting difference.  We are currently active in low-income neighborhoods and churches across South City St. Louis, North City St. Louis and East St. Louis, Illinois.  Please Click Here to see our full 2017 calendar of outreach and events.  Men Standing Positive is a fully certified 501(c)3 organization; any donation amount is fully tax-deductible.  Our starting goal is 50 churches giving $200 or more per month.  We regularly send updates by way of email, mail and social media so your church can see where their donation is going. Plus, your church name, address and phone number will be listed on our website and/or blog under the Urban Missions Partner section.  If you would like to become an Urban Missions Partner, please email urbanmissions@menstandingpositive.org or call 314-888-5407 to setup a meeting with MSP’s Founder Mike ‘MiNiMe’ Wuebbles.  If you are not local, we can set up a conference call.  Every amount is valuable to us- whether it’s $50, $100, $200 or more per month.  Watch below to see more!! Thank you for your time and consideration!

Boldness in Love // MSP Outreach Street Report

Saturday August 1st, 2015 the Men Standing Positive team prayed with many on the streets; two accepted Christ, and three filled out MSP Hot Sheets for extra assistance.  It’s not everyday you get a chance to do street ministry with those truly led by the Holy Spirit and bold enough to unashamedly share God’s love.  MSP Ministries has the great privilege of working with dedicated volunteers who even understand how to reach people most everyone would completely disregard.  Many lives have been touched because someone on our outreach team had the courage to speak to them or even simply smile.  Nowadays in our busy society, everyone seems to pay more attention to their phone than the person walking next to them or waiting in line at the store.  Outreach isn’t just across the world in a foreign land; outreach is about reaching those at your job and those in your own neighborhood.  You are surrounded by those people for a reason- you possess the love of God inside you and the ability to share it.  So be bold- let the love that conquered the grave out for the world to see.  It’s what they desperately need, they just don’t realize because they can’t see it.  So show them- be bold.

Until Next Time… See YOU On The Streets!

Sharing Hope // MSP Outreach Street Report

Saturday July 25th, 2015 was a hot afternoon well-spent on the streets of St. Louis. The MSP Outreach team headed to Gravois Road, walking up and down the street stopping at gas stations and store front parking lots. Despite the intense heat, many people were out and about running errands or just trying to stay cool. Everyone we spoke to seemed excited about the upcoming Total Transformation Conference and a few even took extra flyers to pass out to others. Several people wanted prayer for healing; one lady had respiratory issues and one man’s sister dealt with cystic fibrosis. The team stood in agreement that all issues would cease in Jesus’ name. Last but not least, five people were led to Christ and six people filled out an MSP Hot Sheet for additional assistance. The summer heat didn’t stop God from moving in the lives of others as everyone followed His direction and voice.

Until Next Time… See YOU on the Streets!!!

Reaching Those in Need // MSP Outreach Street Report

Saturday June 13th, 2015 the MSP team and volunteers headed out to the streets to continue spreading the Good News of Jesus and to let the community know about the upcoming MSP Young Women’s Conference later that month. Several individuals were prayed for including an entire family. All received restoration in their different areas of need. In addition, 5 Hot Sheets were filled out for those wanted additional assistance.

Until Next Time… See YOU on the Streets!!!

From The Front Porch To The Street // #IMPACTEASTSIDE Street Report

Carry the Cross with MSP – Saturday October 25th, 2014
It’s not everyday that you see a big wooden cross carried down the street in your neighborhood. In fact, it’s probably one of the last things you expect to see! On Saturday afternoon, a young man and some other kids were outside on the front porch; when music blasting from a jeep and a giant cross followed by a group of people came down the street. Everyone outside the house stopped to stare and then asked to know more. Mike ‘MiNiMe’ Wuebbles went over to the porch, passed out flyers, and told them about the upcoming event. The young man asked about the cross and wanted to hear MiNiMe rap. He promptly left the porch and joined the group as we continued down the street. Not only did he stay with us the entire afternoon, but he also took turns carrying the cross. At the end of the outreach, he was almost speechless except for this response- watch below to see the impact! Carry the Cross with MSP is truly an unforgettable experience.

CHANGE REQUIRES A CHOICE // #IMPACTEASTSIDE Street Report

Carry the Cross with MSP- Saturday October 25, 2014

“Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” Such a powerful and honest statement from the famous Michael Jordan. During Carry the Cross Outreach this past Saturday, the team walked down a street where a group of boys were playing basketball. They asked Mike ‘MiNiMe’ Wuebbles if he wanted to play, so he threw a couple shots at the basket. He began talking to them about their role in the community and the impact of their choices and lifestyle. As MiNiMe continued to speak, he brought up Jesus and explained the truth of the Gospel. The boys decided that afternoon to accept Christ into their hearts and lives. After prayer, one kid asked MiNiMe if he was a rapper. He replied yes. DJ G backed up his jeep and played Change the World as MiNiMe gave a performance out on the street. The boys loved it. I can guarantee you those kids will never forget the afternoon a jeep, a cross, and a rapper came down their street and introduced them to Jesus. This experience helped give them all the power and ability needed to change their own lives and leave a legitimate impact in their neighborhood. Change starts- one choice- one life at a time.

MSP Block Party // Summer 2014

This past summer Men Standing Positive hosted one block party in East St. Louis, Illinois. Despite the heat, everyone had a great time- especially the kids as they chased each other around the parking lot with water guns. DJ G kept the party going while T-Jones, StLien, and MiNiMe brought awesome music and a dynamic Word. Our partner for this event- the Rock Church in Soulard came out and provided free food, drink, and clothing to anyone in need. Three people signed up for a local church home, two registered to vote, and many came forward at the end to re-dedicate their lives to Christ. A big thank you to all who came out, our volunteers, and our partners. We are already excited for the block parties to come in 2015! We hope to see you there! Click Here for a recap video of the event. Click Here for photos! Please join our Facebook group MSP Block Party to stay informed about upcoming events. Feel free to post any comments or questions you may have!

Until Next Time….. See you on the Streets!
