Paztuh Mike Wuebbles brought the Word. He spoke on the importance of stepping out into what God has called you to do, even if it seems impossible. Not everything in your life is ever going to be “just right” when it comes to going after your purpose. It’s the daily steps and diligent focus that really counts. You cannot expect to do the great things if you will not do the small things. Amidst the laughs, shouts, and complete silences, Paztuh Mike message made everyone stop and think about their purpose in life and why they may have never fully stepped out in faith. Following God and pursuing your destiny will not always be easy, but it will always be worth it in the end.

Back in the Summer of 2015 during an MSP Street Outreach in South City, Walter accepted Christ and was invited to an upcoming MSP conference. Later that month he came to the conference, one of the speakers prayed over and prophesied to him that his home church was where he was standing and his pastor was at the back of the room. Ever since that time, Walter has faithfully attended and grown in his relationship with God. At the end of 2017, an MSP case manager began to counsel and assist him with resources as Walter expressed genuine interest to take the next steps of growth for his life. He applied, interviewed and was accepted into the Job and Leadership Training program at Mission St. Louis. Today- Walter is currently attending the JLT program and also working towards his GED.
In the Spring of 2017- Tiffany was only two days away from being homeless and losing every physical item that she owned. She felt completely hopeless and alone. In addition, the seasonal job she had was also in jeopardy due to no weekly reliable transportation. Tiffany was out of options. An MSP case manager stepped in- offering resources, encouragement and even correction. Swiftly, everything began to turn around and Tiffany stepped out and took the steps and initiative to change her life. She was connected with a temporary living space right near her work so she wouldn’t lose her job. On Friday July 28th, 2017 Tiffany completed and graduated from Connection to Success’ 3 week intensive Personal and Professional Development course! During that time frame- she connected with many people, enhanced professional skills and regained hope for her future. Today- Tiffany is pursuing God’s plan for her life while also seeking a more stable living situation, steady job and gaining a vehicle of her own.
On Saturday June 7th 2017, MSP staff and volunteers gathered inside Jubilee Community Church to pray and prepare for afternoon street outreach in North City. A young man named Terrance had just moved back to St. Louis and was walking down the street stopping at local businesses to see who was hiring. Something told him to come inside the church as he was walking by. When he came in, everyone thought he was simply showing up to volunteer. Terrance came directly down the aisle up to the front and re-dedicated his life to God. He then spent the afternoon on street outreach with Men Standing Positive. Terrance was immediately connected with an MSP case manager who directed him to Jubilee Church so he could start being discipled and receive any needed food, clothing and hygiene items. Shortly after that Saturday, he was placed in a job working for Jubilee Services; a professional service company offering lawn care, landscaping and construction for both residential and commercial property across the St. Louis region. After approximately 5 months, he transitioned to another landscaping company after receiving the necessary the training.

Saturday June 10th, 2017
marked something special. Not only was it the first Carry the Cross with MSP
of 2017 but a city aldermen saw us from the local Fairgrounds park and came over to join us; walking up and down North Grand.
Local rap artists Reuben Jones
, Rob Redeemed
(sound courtesy of DJ G & New Life Music
) stopped on street corners to give short performances followed by personal testimonies of what God has done in their own lives. During one stop, Rob Redeemed shared the story of how God completely healed him of cancer. A couple nearby heard his testimony and almost immediately gave their lives to Christ.
Lives were affected that day. Many stopped to stare, a few glared, some took photos and video, while still more were reminded of a faith in which they had lost all hope. 7 MSP Hot Sheets
were filled out with those seeking various types of community assistance programs, job training and placement into a church home.
Until Next Time…. See YOU on the Streets!
