Every Sunday, thousands of churchgoers gather for a time of prayer, praise, and an uplifting sermon. In many places, prayers for the lost can reach a fever pitch, as shouts of “Amen!” and “Hallelujah!” ring across the sanctuary. After all the shouting is over though, it’s off to lunch, to the mall, or back home to enjoy the rest of the day and get ready for the week ahead.

We certainly should pray for the unsaved, and pray often. But we can’t stop there. We also have to go. In this hard hitting, raw message—simply titled GO—“Paztuh Mike” Wuebbles urges the church to do more than talk the talk about sharing the Good News, but to walk the walk. Literally.

GO A Message For The Church – By Paztuh Mike Wuebbles

MARK 1615

“And then he [Jesus] told them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.’” Mark 16:15, NLT

Literally.

You’ll be challenged and inspired as Paztuh Mike examines the Bible’s commands about reaching the lost and gives his honest assessment of why many Christians are reluctant to tell others in their own communities about Jesus. He covers: The spiritual battle for souls Fears and excuses that hinder Christians Paying the price for the harvest Laziness in the church The command for every Christian to “go” What to do with what you know The power of your personal testimony Don’t sit still any longer. Get off the church pew and get out into the streets. The harvest is ripe. Now, it’s time to GO!

Dear Friend,
Throughout this life you will have numerous chances to make a difference in the lives of others: your family, friends, and total strangers.  Right now, Men Standing Positive is offering you the opportunity to reach entire low-income communities in a powerful way using our unique system.  Founded in Saint Louis, Missouri, our mission is to empower and inspire people by bringing wholeness, change and a peace of mind through various community outreaches, events and programs.
Men Standing Positive strategically acts as a third party filter to screen and connect the individual/family to the resources and help they need.  We partner with those who provide homeless shelters, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, temporary housing, counseling, job training, utility assistance, domestic violence programs, spiritual development and more.  The goal is to successfully unite the individual with the appropriate available resource(s); therefore strengthening and building the community as a whole.
In addition, Men Standing Positive also reaches out and connects with neighborhood churches in the local community before we do our outreach and events.  Our policy requires that we cannot connect an individual/family with job training and assistance programs until we first place them in a church home.  A dedicated church family is absolutely vital for support, love, and encouragement as the member seeks to follow God, resolve major life issues, and also obtain other necessary help and training.  Our unique system works to help people in every area possible: spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Men Standing Positive believes that impact starts one individual at a time.  We want to connect with people, such as yourself, who desire to make a difference in lives across the city.  We are currently active in low-income communities throughout North St. Louis City, South St. Louis City, East St. Louis Illinois and Washington Park Illinois reaching men, women and children of all ages.  Men Standing Positive regularly sends updates by way of email, mail, website, blog and social media so you can see where your money is going.  We are a fully certified 501(c)3 organization so any donation amount is fully tax-deductible, appreciated and valuable.
We are currently preparing for 2017; gathering startup funding as we build our staff and prepare for this year’s outreach and events.  Please Click Here to see our goal for 2017! If you would like more information please email-partner@menstandingpositive.org or call 314-690-3077.  To make a donation online via PayPal- Click Here.  Or write a check out to ‘Men Standing Positive’ and mail to P.O. Box 39459 St. Louis, MO 63139-8459.  We cannot make this year happen without our dedicated personal partners like you!  Join us in changing one person, one city, one nation at a time.  Thank you for your consideration!

2nd Annual MSP Fun Fest with Dunbar Kids// Event Highlights

Saturday November 21st, 2015 was the 2nd annual MSP Fun Fest with Dunbar Kids and it marked the final event of the year.  It was a very brisk wintry day, so attendance was lower than expected, but everyone who came out had a blast; from the the smallest child to the oldest adult.  Saved, St Lien, and MiNiMe did a fantastic job performing on stage as DJ G kept the music blasting.  Over 25 people showed up to volunteer and gave generously of their effort and time.  Four people gave their life to Christ and several others were able to fill out a Hot Sheet for additional assistance.

Men Standing Positive would like to thank the follow organizations and individuals: Concept Remodels for the advertising sponsorship, the Rock Church in Soulard for the free clothing and Thanksgiving meal, DJ G with New Life Music, Blanks Bounce House, East St. Louis School District 189, Dunbar Elementary School, and Principle Coleman for the facility, gift baskets, and support.  And last but not least, to everyone who came out- participant and volunteer, without everyone working as a team this event would not have been possible.  The Men Standing Positive team can hardly to wait see what next year has in store for Dunbar Elementary and the kids!  Be on the lookout for the highlight video coming soon, and read below for what some had to say about MSP Fun Fest 2015!  Click Here to View the Photos!!

‘Til Next Year…See You on the Streets!

As an educator, I encourage my students to ‘pay it forward’.  They had a chance to see words turn into action.  The Fun Fest was just an inspirational sight to see.  MiNiMe is awesome and I look forward to volunteering next year.

~S. Keeler, PLD Teacher

Fun Fest was awesome!  I think it’s awesome that MSP finds a way to reach the community.  One thing that they always do is feed people.  Even if it’s just a bag of chips.  It’s funny how food brings people together.  Not only that, but the sound is always great.  There just seems to be joy and peace in the atmosphere whenever MSP throws an event.  You can’t say that about every ministry.  I have done events all over the city and I’ve seen a lot of things.  A ministry that is consistent will stand long.  My hat goes off to MSP and what they do for the city.  MSP Fun Fest was nothing different.  It is what is to be expected from MSP!  Any event full of Jesus, full of God, full of joy, full of love, full of peace, and smiles.

~ St. Lien, MSP Fun Fest Artist

This is by far my most favorite event of the school year.  Not only does it allow me the opportunity to fellowship with members of the community, but  MiNiMe is such an inspiration and motivation to the students.  His ability to leave such a profound and long~lasting impression is truly something to be admired.

~C. Coleman, PLD Principal

Matthew 25:34-40 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

Matthew 25:21 “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ ”

He can say it better than I.  Great work for His Kingdom.  Glad to be a part.

~G. Collins, The Rock Church in Soulard Volunteer

It was refreshing to see a young artist give back to the community.  Everything was top notch and I can’t wait until next year.

Thanksgiving Comes to an East St. Louis Elementary School

Amidst the chaos going on in East St. Louis, the murders, and recent teacher strike- an underground awakening is happening. Now that the smoke from the strike has cleared and students have returned to the classroom, many are calling for change. Local leaders, parents, and students are beginning to take a stand for their community- recognizing the impact they have in their own neighborhoods to make a difference. Last year Men Standing Positive spent fall 2014 on the streets of East St. Louis and in the Washington Park community doing outreach, a block party, and a conference- the movement was titled Impact East Side. This year they were invited to return to Dunbar Elementary School and host MSP Fun Fest for the students, parents, and all staff. East St. Louis Senior High School and Mason Clark Middle School have also been invited to join. The free event Saturday November 21st, 2015 from 1 pm – 4 pm includes live music by local St. Louis rap/hip-hop artists: St.Lien, Saved, and MiNiMe, DJ G on the 1’s and 2’s, a bounce house, as well as a Thanksgiving dinner, and clothing giveaway provided by the Rock Church- Soulard campus. Leadership Starts Off In The Back // #IMPACTEASTSIDE 2015

Sunday March 22, 2015, the Living Word Church in Washington Park, Illinois celebrated its 7 year anniversary.  Pastor Tommy Smith Jr, his wife, family, and congregation had spent the weekend reminiscing on the past years and looking forward to the good things to come.  Sunday afternoon service marked the final celebration to end the extended anniversary weekend.  Guest speaker, Mike ‘MiNiMe’ Wuebbles delivered a powerful and timely message titled, Leadership Starts Off in the Back.  Drawing examples from the story of Joseph, MiNiMe explained that leadership doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a process filled with ups and downs as God prepares you for your destiny. When Joseph first had the dream, he wasn’t anywhere near ready to lead a nation and its people. However, after being in charge of a prison and Potiphar’s house, God developed within him the wisdom and skills necessary to fulfill his calling.  Everyone in the congregation was able to take away a practical piece of insight from the message.  Men Standing Positive looks forward to the continued partnership with the Living Word Church and Pastor Tommy to leave a lasting impact in the Washington Park community.
In addition to ministering from the pulpit, MiNiMe was also able to minister out on the street that afternoon.  Shortly before the service began, one of the congregation members asked MiNiMe to walk across the street to talk to some people sitting out on their driveway.  The two of them crossed the street and began conversing with the group.  Because MiNiMe was all dressed up in a suit for church and even had on a mic, the men were intimidated, annoyed, and tried to start an argument.  They assumed based on his church clothes that MiNiMe had come to argue with and condemn them.  During street ministry it is vital that you relate to people on their level.  The service was about to begin, so MiNiMe quickly stopped the conversation and promised the group he would return after the message.  Immediately following the service, MiNiMe went back across the street. This time, the conversation went an entirely different direction.  Two of the men ended up getting saved, joined the church, and signed up for assistance programs on the MSP Hot Sheet.  Despite the rush and distraction, MiNiMe was able to minister to the group as God moved on their hearts.
